- Produce compelling multimedia stories (print, video, podcast) with 3+ monthly deliverables
- Cultivate and maintain high-level source networks in government and industry
- Collaborate with editors to develop story angles that resonate with diverse audiences
- Mentor junior journalists through editorial review and skills development
- Adhere to strict journalistic ethics while meeting aggressive deadlines
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional journalism experience with investigative portfolio
- Proven ability to break exclusive stories with measurable public impact
- Expertise in FOIA requests, public records analysis, and data journalism
- Exceptional writing, editing, and multimedia production skills
- Strong network of sources in government, legal, or NGO sectors
- Experience mentoring junior journalists or editorial interns
- Journalism degree or equivalent professional certification required
