Responsibilities
- Lead complex investigations with multi-source verification and data analysis
- Develop and maintain confidential sources while adhering to journalistic ethics
- Produce compelling multimedia content (print, video, podcasts) for digital platforms
- Mentor junior journalists and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Develop original story pitches aligned with editorial strategy and audience impact
- Represent the organization at industry events and public forums
Qualifications
- 8+ years of investigative journalism experience with proven portfolio
- Expertise in FOIA requests, public records, and data-driven reporting
- Exceptional writing, editing, and narrative storytelling abilities
- Proficiency in multimedia production (video editing, podcasting)
- Deep understanding of media law, ethics, and fact-checking protocols
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage complex projects
- Master's degree in Journalism or related field preferred
