Responsibilities

- Cultivate and maintain a diverse network of reliable sources and whistleblowers.
- Collaborate with data journalists to visualize complex information for digital audiences.
- Conduct thorough fact-checking and ensure all reporting adheres to strict ethical guidelines.
- Draft compelling long-form features that provide unique perspectives on global issues.
- Work closely with legal counsel to navigate sensitive subject matter and editorial risks.
- Represent the publication in public forums, podcasts, and media appearances.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in professional investigative journalism.
- Proven track record of publishing high-impact investigations in national or international outlets.
- Exceptional proficiency in public records requests (FOIA) and database research.
- Strong editorial judgment and impeccable writing skills.
- Ability to manage tight deadlines while working on long-term, multi-month projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field; Master’s preferred.
- Experience with multimedia storytelling and data-driven reporting tools.
