Responsibilities
- Lead in-depth investigations across politics, business, and social justice beats
- Produce high-impact multimedia content including long-form articles, podcasts, and documentaries
- Develop and cultivate confidential sources while maintaining strict journalistic ethics
- Collaborate with editors to shape narrative arcs and ensure factual accuracy
- Mentor junior journalists and contribute to editorial strategy
- Engage audiences through social media and community outreach initiatives
Qualifications
- 7+ years of professional journalism experience with proven investigative portfolio
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with demonstrated editorial judgment
- Experience with data journalism, FOIA requests, and public records research
- Proficiency in multimedia production (audio/video editing, digital publishing tools)
- Ability to work under deadline pressure with meticulous attention to detail
- Strong network of sources in government, NGOs, or corporate sectors
- Journalism degree or equivalent professional certification
