Responsibilities
- Lead complex investigative projects from conception to publication across print, digital, and broadcast platforms
- Cultivate and manage high-level confidential sources within government, corporate, and NGO sectors
- Produce in-depth multimedia stories with data-driven analysis and visual storytelling elements
- Mentor junior journalists and contribute to editorial strategy development
- Adhere to strict ethical standards and fact-checking protocols
- Collaborate with legal team to ensure content integrity and risk mitigation
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of professional investigative journalism experience
- Proven track record of breaking high-impact stories with national recognition
- Expertise in public records research, FOIA requests, and data journalism tools
- Portfolio demonstrating mastery of long-form narrative writing and multimedia production
- Strong network of verified sources in political, financial, or social justice domains
- Ability to work under deadline pressure while maintaining journalistic rigor
- Journalism degree or equivalent professional certification required
