Responsibilities
- Lead in-depth investigations across politics, social justice, and public policy
- Develop and maintain confidential sources while adhering to ethical standards
- Produce multi-platform content (print, digital, video, podcasts)
- Analyze complex data sets to uncover patterns and trends
- Mentor junior journalists and contribute to editorial strategy
- Collaborate with legal team to ensure compliance with defamation laws
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional investigative journalism experience
- Proven track record of impactful published investigations
- Expertise in FOIA requests, document analysis, and data journalism
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects
- Strong understanding of media law and journalistic ethics
- Experience with multimedia production tools (Adobe Suite, Audacity)
