Responsibilities
- Lead long-form investigative projects from conception to publication.
- Cultivate and maintain a robust network of high-level sources across multiple industries.
- Analyze large datasets and public records to uncover hidden patterns and misconduct.
- Collaborate with the visual and digital teams to craft immersive multimedia storytelling.
- Adhere to the highest standards of journalistic ethics and fact-checking protocols.
- Represent the publication in public forums and broadcast appearances.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in investigative reporting or deep-dive feature writing.
- Proven track record of producing award-winning, high-impact journalism.
- Advanced proficiency in public records requests (FOIA), data journalism tools, and archival research.
- Exceptional narrative writing skills with the ability to simplify complex subject matter.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, digital-first newsroom environment.
- A degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
