Responsibilities
- Analyze complex commercial insurance applications to assess risk exposure and determine policy terms

- Lead underwriting committees and mentor junior team members
- Implement AI-driven risk assessment tools to enhance decision accuracy
- Ensure compliance with NY State insurance regulations and industry standards
- Identify emerging risks and propose innovative coverage solutions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of commercial underwriting experience with property/casualty focus
- CPCU or AU designation strongly preferred
- Advanced proficiency in underwriting software (e.g., Duck Creek, Guidewire)
- Expert knowledge of ISO rating systems and regulatory frameworks
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Proven track record in developing profitable insurance products
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
