Responsibilities
- Evaluate complex commercial property risks using advanced data analytics and predictive modeling
- Develop and maintain profitable underwriting strategies aligned with market trends
- Collaborate with actuaries and brokers to design tailored insurance solutions
- Lead underwriting committees and mentor junior team members
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
- Identify new business opportunities and expand client relationships
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 7+ years of commercial property underwriting experience
- Expertise in catastrophe modeling and risk assessment tools
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in SQL and Excel
- Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance license required
- Proven track record of achieving underwriting profit targets
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management abilities
