Responsibilities
- Analyze complex commercial risks using advanced actuarial models and predictive analytics
- Design bespoke insurance packages for high-value accounts ($5M+ premium volume)
- Lead cross-functional teams including actuaries and claims specialists
- Develop underwriting guidelines that balance risk exposure and profitability
- Maintain compliance with NY state insurance regulations and FINRA standards
- Drive digital transformation initiatives in underwriting processes
- Mentor junior underwriters through our structured development program
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of commercial property & casualty underwriting experience
- ACAS designation or progress toward CPCU certification required
- Proficiency in Guidewire InsuranceSuite and SAS predictive modeling tools
- Proven track record in managing complex risk portfolios
- Strong understanding of NY insurance regulatory landscape
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience in digital underwriting transformation initiatives
