Responsibilities
- Analyze complex commercial risks and underwrite policies across property, casualty, and specialty lines
- Develop tailored insurance solutions and pricing strategies for mid-market enterprises
- Collaborate with brokers, agents, and internal teams to ensure seamless policy execution
- Mentor junior underwriters and drive continuous improvement in underwriting workflows
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks to inform decision-making
- Manage portfolio performance and implement loss mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field (required)
- 5+ years of commercial insurance underwriting experience (mid-market focus)
- Professional designation (CPCU, ARM, or AU preferred)
- Expertise in property/casualty insurance products and risk assessment methodologies
- Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in underwriting software (e.g., Duck Creek, Guidewire)
- Strong negotiation abilities and broker relationship management experience
- Deep understanding of insurance regulations and compliance requirements
