Responsibilities
- Evaluate complex insurance applications and conduct thorough risk assessments for commercial and specialty lines
- Develop tailored insurance solutions aligned with client needs and regulatory requirements
- Lead underwriting committees and collaborate with brokers to structure optimal coverage
- Mentor junior underwriters and contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives
- Monitor market trends and emerging risks to inform underwriting strategies
- Ensure compliance with state and federal insurance regulations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key industry stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field required
- 5+ years of property & casualty underwriting experience with proven track record
- CPCU, AU, or ARM designation strongly preferred
- Expertise in commercial underwriting principles and risk evaluation methodologies
- Advanced proficiency in insurance rating platforms and data analytics tools
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and regulatory compliance
- Strong communication abilities for complex negotiations and client presentations
