Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end instructional design process for complex digital learning programs, from conception to evaluation.
- Collaborate closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), multimedia developers, and product managers to translate content into engaging learning experiences.
- Design and develop innovative learning activities, assessments, and performance support tools using various modalities (e.g., e-learning, blended, microlearning, simulations).
- Apply advanced adult learning theories, instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM), and cognitive science principles to create highly effective content.
- Conduct thorough needs analyses, audience assessments, and usability testing to ensure optimal learner outcomes.
- Establish and maintain quality assurance standards for all instructional materials, ensuring consistency and adherence to best practices.
- Mentor junior instructional designers and contribute to the continuous improvement of our design processes and methodologies.
- Stay abreast of emerging educational technologies and instructional design trends, integrating new approaches where beneficial.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Curriculum & Instruction, or a related field.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in instructional design, with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse learning solutions.
- Expert proficiency with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline 360, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia) and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Proven ability to apply advanced instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) and adult learning theories in practical settings.
- Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities, coupled with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment and with multimedia content development.
- Demonstrated experience in leading design initiatives and mentoring team members.
