Responsibilities
- Provide advanced critical care for post-cardiac surgery and complex cardiovascular patients
- Administer specialized medications and monitor hemodynamic parameters with precision
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Lead rapid response interventions during emergency cardiac events
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EHR systems
- Mentor junior staff through preceptorship programs
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (or compact state)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- 3+ years of ICU experience with cardiac focus
- ACLS, BLS, and CCRN certifications
- Experience with intra-aortic balloon pumps and ventricular assist devices
- Demonstrated expertise in hemodynamic monitoring
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
