Responsibilities
- Provide advanced critical care nursing for patients with complex medical conditions
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with precision
- Monitor and interpret patient vital signs using advanced monitoring systems
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Document patient assessments and interventions accurately in Epic EHR
- Provide education and support to patients' families during critical situations
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and code response teams
- Mentor junior nursing staff to enhance clinical competencies
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Minimum 3 years of ICU experience in Level 1 Trauma Center
- Current Illinois RN license and BLS/ACLS certifications
- CCRN certification preferred
- Expertise in ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Experience with Epic EHR system
- Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based practice
