Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze large-scale healthcare datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for operational improvement.
- Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and internal data governance policies.
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reporting tools for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to translate complex medical requirements into data specifications.
- Conduct regular audits of medical coding and billing data to minimize revenue leakage.
- Automate data workflows to increase efficiency and reduce manual entry errors.
- Train junior analysts and junior staff on data best practices and software tools.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Data Science, Nursing, or a related medical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare data analysis, medical coding, or health IT.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or similar data manipulation languages.
- Strong understanding of ICD-10, CPT, and HEDIS quality measures.
- Experience with EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or AthenaHealth.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving skills with a focus on accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to present data findings to non-technical audiences.
