Responsibilities
- Lead Data Strategy: Design and implement complex data models to support clinical research and operational reporting.
- Data Mining & Analysis: Extract, clean, and analyze large datasets from Electronic Health Records (EHR) to identify trends and improve patient care protocols.
- Dashboard Creation: Develop interactive visualizations and dashboards using Tableau or Power BI to track key performance indicators (KPIs) for stakeholders.
- Compliance & Privacy: Ensure all data handling processes adhere to strict HIPAA regulations and data security standards.
- Stakeholder Communication: Translate complex data findings into clear, concise reports for medical staff, management, and external partners.
- Process Optimization: Identify inefficiencies in current workflows and propose data-driven solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Biostatistics, Health Informatics, Data Science, Nursing, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare data analysis or a related analytical role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and Python/R for statistical analysis. Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or Looker is required.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of healthcare systems, medical terminology, and regulatory frameworks (HIPAA).
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot complex data issues.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
