Responsibilities
- Oversee the full lifecycle of Health Information Systems, including the selection, implementation, and maintenance of EMR/EHR platforms.
- Conduct comprehensive system analysis to identify workflow inefficiencies and recommend technology-driven solutions.
- Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA regulations, HITECH Act requirements, and data security protocols.
- Collaborate with clinical leadership to design user-centric interfaces that streamline patient care processes.
- Perform regular data audits, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and provide advanced technical support to healthcare providers.
- Lead training sessions and development programs to enhance digital literacy among medical staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Information Technology, Nursing, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certification as RHIA, RHIT, or CPHIT is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in Health Information Technology or Clinical Informatics.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI).
- Strong understanding of healthcare interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR, DICOM).
- Excellent project management skills with a proven track record of leading large-scale IT implementations.
