Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex policy requirements into intuitive user interfaces.
- Ensure code quality, security compliance (GCFO standards), and adherence to accessibility guidelines (WCAG 2.1).
- Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and code reviews.
- Conduct technical troubleshooting and performance optimization for high-traffic government systems.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to the team’s technical knowledge base.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of full-stack software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript) and back-end technologies (Node.js, Python, or Java).
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Understanding of software security best practices and government compliance frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to obtain a Government of Canada Reliability Security Clearance is a strong asset.
