Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, microservices-based architectures for core banking and transaction processing systems.
- Ensure the highest standards of data security, encryption, and regulatory compliance (SOX, GDPR, PCI-DSS).
- Lead the migration of legacy monolithic systems to cloud-native environments on AWS or Azure.
- Collaborate closely with product managers and security analysts to define technical requirements and risk mitigation strategies.
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews to maintain high engineering standards.
- Optimize database performance and reduce latency for high-volume financial transactions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years of professional software development experience, specifically within the Fintech or Banking sector.
- Proficiency in Java or Python with deep knowledge of Spring Boot or Django frameworks.
- Strong experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle) and NoSQL solutions (Cassandra, DynamoDB).
- Expertise in cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ) and event-driven architecture.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced regulatory environment.
