Responsibilities
- Oversee month-end/year-end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Develop and implement internal controls to ensure SOX compliance and operational efficiency
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for 15+ portfolio companies
- Manage relationships with external auditors and regulatory bodies
- Drive process improvements in accounting systems and financial workflows
- Mentor and develop a team of 5 accounting professionals
- Provide strategic financial insights to support M&A activities and investment decisions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance; CPA or MBA required
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting and/or corporate finance
- Expertise in SOX compliance and internal controls frameworks
- Advanced proficiency in NetSuite, QuickBooks, and ERP systems
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills with attention to detail
- Proven leadership experience managing accounting teams
- Experience in portfolio company accounting or private equity preferred
- Excellent communication skills with ability to translate complex financial data
