Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee all accounting operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, and Payroll.
- Manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Develop and implement robust internal controls to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS standards.
- Lead the annual budgeting and rolling forecasting processes in collaboration with department heads.
- Oversee external audit engagements and serve as the primary point of contact for tax compliance and regulatory reporting.
- Analyze variances and identify opportunities for cost optimization and margin improvement.
- Mentor and develop the junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of professional growth and accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or MBA highly preferred).
- Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or public audit.
- Deep, technical knowledge of GAAP and corporate financial regulations.
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle) and expert-level Excel skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical mind with an ability to distill complex financial datasets into clear, strategic narratives.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a proven track record of maintaining high ethical standards.
