Responsibilities
- End-to-end ownership of event lifecycle: from ideation and budgeting to vendor coordination and post-event analysis
- Lead cross-functional teams including designers, AV technicians, and marketing specialists to deliver cohesive event experiences
- Manage strategic partnerships with premium venues, caterers, and technology providers across North America
- Develop and maintain comprehensive event plans with risk mitigation protocols and contingency strategies
- Leverage data analytics to measure ROI, attendee engagement, and optimize future event performance
- Maintain and grow client relationships through exceptional communication and proactive problem-solving
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, accessibility standards, and brand guidelines
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in events management with 3+ years in leadership roles
- Proven track record executing large-scale events (500+ attendees) with budgets exceeding $500K
- Expertise in event technology platforms (Cvent, Bizzabo) and virtual/hybrid event production
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budget forecasting, expense tracking, and vendor negotiations
- Exceptional project management skills with ability to prioritize multiple concurrent projects
- Creative thinker with innovative approach to attendee engagement and experience design
- Relevant bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Marketing, or related field
- Professional certification (CMP, CSEP) strongly preferred
