Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive EHS management systems aligned with ISO 14001 and OSHA VPP standards
  • Lead workplace safety audits, hazard assessments, and root cause investigations for incidents
  • Manage environmental compliance programs including air/water permits, waste minimization, and spill prevention
  • Design and deliver engaging safety training programs for 500+ employees across 3 facilities
  • Oversee emergency response protocols and conduct bi-annual crisis simulations
  • Analyze EHS data using software like Enablon and Tableau to identify improvement opportunities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability initiatives into operations
  • Stay current on EPA, TCEQ, and evolving EHS regulations through industry certifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or Engineering (Master's preferred)
  • 8+ years progressive EHS experience in manufacturing or industrial settings
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or CHMM designation required
  • Proven track record reducing TRIR below 1.0 and achieving OSHA VPP Star status
  • Expertise in EPA/OSHA regulations, PSM/RMP programs, and waste management
  • Advanced data analysis skills with EHS software (SAP EHS, Cority, or equivalent)
  • Strong project management experience with multi-site compliance programs
