Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive EHS management systems aligned with ISO 14001 and OSHA VPP standards
- Lead workplace safety audits, hazard assessments, and root cause investigations for incidents
- Manage environmental compliance programs including air/water permits, waste minimization, and spill prevention
- Design and deliver engaging safety training programs for 500+ employees across 3 facilities
- Oversee emergency response protocols and conduct bi-annual crisis simulations
- Analyze EHS data using software like Enablon and Tableau to identify improvement opportunities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability initiatives into operations
- Stay current on EPA, TCEQ, and evolving EHS regulations through industry certifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years progressive EHS experience in manufacturing or industrial settings
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or CHMM designation required
- Proven track record reducing TRIR below 1.0 and achieving OSHA VPP Star status
- Expertise in EPA/OSHA regulations, PSM/RMP programs, and waste management
- Advanced data analysis skills with EHS software (SAP EHS, Cority, or equivalent)
- Strong project management experience with multi-site compliance programs
- OSHA 501/509 instructor certification or equivalent teaching credentials
