Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive EHS management systems aligned with ISO 14001 and OSHA standards
- Conduct rigorous facility audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations
- Design and deliver engaging safety training programs for 500+ employees
- Manage hazardous waste disposal, air quality permits, and regulatory reporting
- Lead emergency response planning and crisis management initiatives
- Collaborate with engineering teams on sustainable process improvements
- Drive continuous improvement using KPIs and leading/lagging indicators
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or related field
- 8+ years of progressive EHS experience in manufacturing or energy sectors
- OSHA 30-hour certification and CHST/ASP preferred
- Advanced proficiency in EHS software (e.g., Intelex, ProcessMAP)
- Demonstrated success in reducing TRIR below 1.0
- Strong knowledge of EPA, TCEQ, and local regulations
- Excellent communication skills with C-suite and regulatory bodies
- CHMM or CSP certification highly desirable
