Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and audit comprehensive EHS management systems aligned with ISO 14001 and OSHA standards
- Conduct risk assessments and incident investigations for chemical manufacturing facilities
- Lead emergency response planning and crisis management protocols
- Manage regulatory compliance tracking for federal/state environmental regulations (EPA, TCEQ)
- Train 200+ employees on safety procedures and environmental stewardship practices
- Analyze air/water quality data and recommend corrective actions
- Oversee hazardous waste disposal and recycling programs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability into operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) designation
- Expertise in OSHA VPP, EPA regulations, and ISO 14001 systems
- Advanced proficiency in EHS software (e.g., Enablon, Intelex)
- Strong data analysis skills for environmental monitoring metrics
- OSHA 30-hour and HAZWOPER certifications required
- Proven experience developing safety culture transformation initiatives
