Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive EHS programs aligned with ISO 14001 and OSHA VPP standards
- Lead environmental compliance initiatives including air/water permits, waste management, and sustainability reporting
- Conduct high-impact safety audits and incident investigations with root cause analysis
- Design and deliver engaging safety training programs for 500+ employees across multiple sites
- Manage regulatory relationships with EPA, TCEQ, and OSHA to ensure flawless compliance
- Drive continuous improvement through data-driven EHS KPI tracking and corrective action plans
- Mentor junior EHS professionals and foster a culture of safety consciousness
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years progressive EHS experience in energy, manufacturing, or heavy industry
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) designation required
- Expertise in federal/state regulations (OSHA, EPA, TCEQ) and international standards
- Proven success managing complex environmental compliance programs and permitting
- Advanced data analysis skills with EHS software (e.g., Enablon, Intelex)
- Strong leadership abilities with experience managing cross-functional teams
