Responsibilities
- Design and validate PCB layouts for high-frequency power electronics using Altium Designer
- Develop embedded firmware for motor control systems using C/C++
- Conduct electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing and mitigation strategies
- Lead cross-functional teams through product development lifecycle from concept to production
- Perform thermal analysis and reliability testing for aerospace-grade components
- Create technical documentation and interface with FAA certification teams
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in power electronics design for aerospace or automotive
- Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink for system modeling and simulation
- Expertise in ISO 26262 functional safety standards
- Strong knowledge of CAN/LIN bus communication protocols
- Certification in PCB design (e.g., IPC-2221) or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated success in bringing complex hardware products to market
- Experience with DO-160 environmental testing standards
