Responsibilities
- Lead cross-agency digital transformation roadmaps aligned with Government of Canada digital strategy
- Overhaul legacy systems using cloud migration and API integration frameworks
- Implement accessibility WCAG 2.1 standards across all digital platforms
- Manage vendor relationships for emerging technology adoption (AI/ML, blockchain)
- Develop digital governance frameworks ensuring security and privacy compliance
- Train public servants on digital literacy and agile methodologies
- Report on KPIs to Parliament and Cabinet committees quarterly
Qualifications
- 10+ years digital transformation experience with 5+ in public sector
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Public Administration, or related field
- Certified Government Chief Information Officer (CGCIO) or equivalent
- Expertise in Canadian public sector security protocols (ITSG-33, PSR)
- Proven track record of scaling digital services across 50k+ user bases
- Advanced knowledge of Canadian Digital Service standards
- Experience managing budgets exceeding $5M for digital initiatives
