Responsibilities
- Research, write, and edit high-quality, SEO-optimized news articles and long-form features on tight deadlines.
- Conduct in-depth interviews and source vetting to ensure factual accuracy and journalistic integrity.
- Analyze web traffic data and keyword performance to refine content strategies and improve organic reach.
- Collaborate with the design and video teams to produce multimedia content (infographics, videos, podcasts).
- Stay ahead of industry trends, algorithm updates, and emerging media formats.
- Manage the editorial calendar to ensure timely delivery of breaking news and feature stories.
- Engage with the audience through social media channels to build community and drive traffic back to the site.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in digital journalism, content writing, or media production.
- Proven track record of writing content that ranks highly on search engines (Google Analytics experience required).
- Strong command of the English language, including a keen eye for grammar, style, and tone.
- Experience with content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress or Drupal.
