Pulse Media Group is seeking a visionary Senior Digital Editor to lead our digital storytelling initiatives in the heart of New York City. In this role, you will bridge the gap between traditional journalism and cutting-edge digital media, ensuring our content reaches the widest possible audience through compelling narratives and strategic optimization.
As a key member of our editorial team, you will oversee content strategy, mentor junior writers, and manage our digital platforms to maximize engagement and SEO performance. You will define the voice of our brand across all digital channels.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive content strategies that align with brand goals and audience trends.
- Optimize web content for maximum search engine visibility and user engagement using advanced SEO techniques.
- Lead a team of editors and writers in producing high-quality, fact-checked articles and multimedia stories.
- Collaborate with design and video production teams to integrate interactive elements into storytelling.
- Analyze web traffic data and user metrics to refine content performance and drive growth.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, including AI in journalism and emerging media formats.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in digital journalism, content management, or online media.
- Proven track record of managing high-traffic websites or digital publications.
- Strong command of SEO principles, including keyword research and on-page optimization.
- Experience with content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress, Drupal, or Contentful.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
