Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive content strategies that align with business goals and audience engagement metrics.
- Oversee the daily operations of the digital editorial desk, including assigning stories, editing copy, and approving multimedia assets.
- Lead a team of junior editors and freelance writers, providing mentorship and performance feedback.
- Optimize content for search engines (SEO) and social media distribution to maximize reach and traffic.
- Collaborate with the design and video production teams to create immersive storytelling experiences.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to ensure Lumina Media remains at the forefront of digital journalism.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in digital media, journalism, or content strategy, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or editorial leadership role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or a related field is required.
- Proven ability to write and edit high-quality copy for diverse audiences and formats.
- Strong working knowledge of Content Management Systems (CMS) such as WordPress or Drupal.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data to improve content performance.
- Deep understanding of multimedia storytelling, including video editing and interactive graphics.
