Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of digital content creators, providing constructive feedback and fostering professional growth.
- Oversee the entire content lifecycle from ideation to publication, ensuring accuracy, quality, and adherence to editorial guidelines.
- Develop and implement data-driven content strategies to maximize reach, engagement, and audience retention across web, social, and newsletter platforms.
- Edit, proofread, and optimize a wide range of digital content, including articles, features, interactives, and multimedia pieces, for clarity, tone, and SEO.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with design, video, and analytics teams to produce innovative and impactful storytelling experiences.
- Monitor news trends, competitor activities, and industry best practices to identify new opportunities and maintain Veritas Media Group's competitive edge.
- Manage editorial calendars and workflow, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality content under deadline pressure.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or a related field; Master's preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in digital content editing, with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior editorial role.
- Demonstrated expertise in SEO best practices, analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Parse.ly), and content management systems (CMS).
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail, grammar, and style.
