Responsibilities
- Perform high-resolution CT and diagnostic imaging procedures while strictly adhering to safety and radiation protocols.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety by accurately positioning subjects and providing clear, empathetic explanations of procedures.
- Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment to ensure diagnostic quality and minimize downtime.
- Document accurate patient history, imaging results, and clinical findings within the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Collaborate closely with radiologists and physicians to interpret images and discuss necessary interventions.
- Mentor junior staff members and participate in departmental quality assurance and training programs.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
- Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification and valid state licensure.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a hospital or high-volume clinical setting.
- CPR/BLS certification and ACLS certification are required.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with diverse patient populations.
- Proficiency with PACS systems (Radiant, GE Centricity, or similar).
