Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy predictive machine learning models to improve pricing accuracy and risk segmentation.
- Collaborate closely with actuaries and underwriters to translate complex data into strategic business recommendations.
- Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover hidden patterns and trends within large-scale insurance datasets.
- Build and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes using Python and SQL.
- Present technical findings to non-technical stakeholders in a clear, compelling manner.
- Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in insurtech.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or statistical modeling within the financial services or insurance sector.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn) and R.
- Strong SQL skills with experience querying complex databases.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and big data technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
