Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced ML models for genomic sequence analysis and biomarker identification
- Lead end-to-end data science projects from hypothesis formulation to clinical validation
- Collaborate with bioinformaticians and wet lab scientists to translate findings into actionable insights
- Develop scalable data pipelines processing terabytes of multi-omics data (RNA-seq, proteomics, etc.)
- Present complex findings to executive stakeholders and publish in peer-reviewed journals
- Mentor junior scientists and drive best practices in data governance and reproducibility
Qualifications
- PhD in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, or related quantitative field (MS + 5 years experience)
- Expertise in Python/R with proficiency in scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and genomic analysis tools
- Proven track record publishing in Nature/Science or equivalent high-impact journals
- Strong understanding of clinical trial design and regulatory compliance (FDA/ICH guidelines)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Demonstrable ability to translate business problems into technical solutions
