Responsibilities
- Design and productionize ML pipelines for real-time fraud detection and risk modeling
- Lead end-to-end data science projects from hypothesis to deployment in cloud environments
- Develop novel NLP algorithms to extract insights from unstructured financial documents
- Present findings to C-suite executives through compelling data visualizations
- Mentor junior data scientists and champion best practices in MLOps
- Collaborate with product teams to define data-driven KPIs and success metrics
- Contribute to open-source projects and publish research in peer-reviewed journals
Qualifications
- PhD or Master's in Statistics, Computer Science, or quantitative field with 5+ years industry experience
- Expertise in Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, and distributed computing frameworks (Spark/Dask)
- Proven track record deploying production ML models at scale (A/B testing experience required)
- Deep knowledge of statistical modeling and experimental design
- Strong SQL proficiency and experience with cloud data warehouses (BigQuery/Snowflake)
- Published research in ML/NLP conferences or top-tier journals
- Excellent communication skills translating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
