Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy machine learning models for fraud detection, risk assessment, and customer segmentation
- Design A/B testing frameworks and causal inference methodologies to drive product decisions
- Create automated ETL pipelines using Python, Spark, and cloud services (AWS/GCP)
- Translate complex findings into actionable recommendations for executive stakeholders
- Mentor junior data scientists and maintain best practices in model governance
- Present insights at quarterly data summits and publish findings in industry journals
Qualifications
- 5+ years in applied data science with proven track record in fintech or SaaS
- Mastery of Python (scikit-learn, XGBoost) and SQL with production experience
- Advanced degree in Statistics, Computer Science, or related quantitative field
- Expertise in cloud data platforms (BigQuery, Redshift, or Snowflake)
- Strong background in statistical modeling and experimental design
- Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end ML project deployments
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
