Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced machine learning algorithms for predictive analytics and natural language processing
- Lead data exploration initiatives to identify patterns and insights from large-scale datasets
- Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy models into production environments
- Develop data visualization dashboards using tools like Tableau and Power BI
- Present findings to executive stakeholders through compelling data narratives
- Mentor junior data scientists and conduct technical workshops
- Stay current with emerging AI research and implement best practices
Qualifications
- PhD or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in data science with proven portfolio of ML deployments
- Expertise in Python, R, and SQL with proficiency in scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
- Strong statistical modeling background including Bayesian inference and experimental design
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and big data technologies
- Excellent communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts to business audiences
- Published research in peer-reviewed journals or conference proceedings preferred
- Background in scientific computing or computational physics advantageous
