Responsibilities
- Design and implement end-to-end machine learning pipelines for real-time fraud detection systems
- Develop novel NLP algorithms to extract insights from unstructured financial datasets
- Lead A/B testing frameworks and causal inference modeling for product optimization
- Translate technical findings into executive dashboards and stakeholder presentations
- Mentor junior data scientists and champion MLOps best practices
- Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy models into production environments
- Publish research in peer-reviewed journals and present at industry conferences
Qualifications
- PhD or Master's in Statistics, Computer Science, or related quantitative field with 5+ years industry experience
- Expertise in Python, PyTorch, and distributed computing frameworks (Spark/Dask)
- Proven track record deploying production ML systems at scale (AWS/GCP/Azure)
- Advanced knowledge of Bayesian statistics and experimental design
- Strong portfolio showcasing complex problem-solving in fintech or e-commerce
- Experience with CI/CD for ML and containerized deployments (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Excellent communication skills translating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
