Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced machine learning models for fraud detection, risk assessment, and customer segmentation
- Develop end-to-end data science solutions using Python, SQL, and distributed computing frameworks
- Lead A/B testing initiatives and conduct statistical analysis to validate hypotheses
- Create interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau and Power BI to visualize key metrics
- Mentor junior data scientists and establish best practices for model deployment and monitoring
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Stay current with emerging techniques in NLP, deep learning, and causal inference
Qualifications
- Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in data science with proven track record of production models
- Expertise in Python (scikit-learn, TensorFlow) and SQL with optimization techniques
- Strong understanding of statistical modeling, experimental design, and hypothesis testing
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop)
- Portfolio demonstrating complex projects with measurable business impact
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to present to executive leadership
- Experience in fintech or regulated industries preferred
