Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust cybersecurity protocols aligned with NIST and FISMA standards
- Lead incident response operations for critical infrastructure breaches
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on government systems
- Develop security awareness training programs for federal employees
- Collaborate with interagency partners on threat intelligence sharing
- Advise senior leadership on emerging cyber risks and mitigation strategies
- Ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity regulations and reporting requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with 3+ years in government/public sector
- CISSP, CISM, or GIAC certification required
- Expert knowledge of NIST Cybersecurity Framework and FISMA compliance
- Experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and threat detection tools
- Active TS/SCI security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for policy documentation
