Responsibilities
- Develop and refine cybersecurity policies to align with federal mandates and NIST standards.
- Lead cross-departmental risk assessment initiatives to identify vulnerabilities in critical infrastructure.
- Draft comprehensive compliance reports for senior leadership and congressional review.
- Collaborate with inter-agency stakeholders to standardize security protocols.
- Monitor the evolving threat landscape and translate findings into actionable policy updates.
- Coordinate incident response preparedness exercises across multiple government branches.
- Mentor junior analysts in policy writing and technical security frameworks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Public Policy, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity governance, risk, and compliance (GRC).
- Deep understanding of NIST SP 800-53, FISMA, and FedRAMP requirements.
- Proven ability to translate complex technical data into concise executive summaries.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of professional ethics.
- Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain).
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for high-level stakeholder management.
