Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity policies aligned with NIST and FISMA standards.
- Lead cross-functional risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities in legacy government infrastructure.
- Serve as the primary liaison between technical IT teams and executive policy stakeholders.
- Author detailed technical reports and briefing materials for agency leadership.
- Drive the adoption of Zero Trust architecture across departmental divisions.
- Coordinate with federal intelligence partners to synthesize threat intelligence data.
- Provide strategic guidance during incident response operations and post-incident reviews.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field; Master’s preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in cybersecurity, policy development, or information assurance.
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance or eligibility to obtain one.
- Deep understanding of federal cybersecurity compliance requirements (FISMA, NIST 800-53, FedRAMP).
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC.
- Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable policy for non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of professional integrity.
