Responsibilities
- Develop and implement enterprise-level cybersecurity policies in compliance with NIST and FISMA standards.
- Lead cross-departmental risk assessment initiatives to identify and mitigate infrastructure vulnerabilities.
- Coordinate with federal intelligence agencies to translate threat intelligence into actionable defense strategies.
- Draft comprehensive reports and briefing materials for executive stakeholders and legislative committees.
- Drive continuous improvement of security protocols through rigorous audit analysis and stakeholder feedback.
- Act as a subject matter expert during incident response planning and tabletop exercises.
- Collaborate with IT engineering teams to ensure security-by-design principles are integrated into cloud migration projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Public Policy, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity policy, compliance, or information assurance.
- In-depth knowledge of federal cybersecurity frameworks including NIST SP 800-53, FIPS, and OMB circulars.
- Proven track record of managing high-stakes technical projects within a government or regulatory environment.
- Current CISSP, CISM, or CRISC certification is highly preferred.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical leadership.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
