Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity policies aligned with NIST and FISMA frameworks.
- Conduct rigorous risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities in government IT infrastructure.
- Facilitate inter-agency briefings regarding evolving threat landscapes and mitigation strategies.
- Lead auditing processes to ensure institutional compliance with federal information security mandates.
- Draft high-level technical documentation for legislative review and executive decision-making.
- Coordinate incident response protocols during large-scale cyber security breaches.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field; Master’s preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of professional experience in information security or policy analysis.
- Current CISSP, CISM, or equivalent industry-recognized professional certification.
- Deep understanding of federal cybersecurity regulations (NIST, FedRAMP, FISMA).
- Demonstrated experience in strategic communication and stakeholder management.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Top Secret Security Clearance.
- Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable policy.
