Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity frameworks aligned with federal mandates.
- Lead inter-agency risk assessment workshops to identify and mitigate systemic vulnerabilities.
- Serve as a primary advisor to executive leadership on emerging cyber threats and compliance trends.
- Draft high-level policy documentation and technical briefing materials for congressional review.
- Oversee the integration of zero-trust architecture across multi-departmental IT landscapes.
- Coordinate with international partners on cross-border cybersecurity policy and intelligence sharing.
- Conduct regular policy audits to ensure adherence to NIST and FISMA guidelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Public Policy, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in cybersecurity policy, governance, or information security management.
- Deep understanding of NIST, FISMA, and OMB cybersecurity requirements.
- Proven ability to translate technical findings into actionable policy for non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in managing large-scale federal projects or cross-departmental initiatives.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills for high-stakes presentations.
- Active Top Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
