Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and vulnerability analysis of federal information systems in compliance with FISMA and NIST frameworks.
- Design, implement, and monitor advanced security controls to detect and mitigate sophisticated cyber threats and intrusions.
- Lead incident response teams during security breaches, coordinating with law enforcement and internal stakeholders to minimize downtime.
- Manage the security posture of cloud infrastructure and on-premise environments, ensuring adherence to FedRAMP standards.
- Develop and deliver security awareness training programs to educate staff on emerging threats and best practices.
- Provide expert consultation to government clients on cybersecurity policy, compliance, and technical architecture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity analysis, preferably within a government or defense contractor environment.
- Certification required: CISSP, CISM, or CEH.
- Deep knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and encryption standards.
- Strong understanding of federal regulations including FISMA, NIST SP 800-53, and DCID 6/9.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
