Job Overview:
The Senior Cybersecurity Analyst will oversee the security posture of client systems, manage risk assessments, and lead incident response efforts. You will act as a subject matter expert, guiding junior staff and interfacing with stakeholders to ensure compliance with federal regulations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on federal networks.
- Implement and manage Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions to detect and respond to threats in real-time.
- Ensure strict compliance with NIST, FISMA, and FedRAMP security frameworks.
- Lead incident response investigations, root cause analysis, and recovery planning for security breaches.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and incident response playbooks.
- Collaborate with IT operations teams to integrate security controls into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Present security posture reports to executive stakeholders and government clients.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent security certification (Security+, SSCP).
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity roles within the public sector or government contracting.
- Active Top Secret clearance (TS/SCI clearance required).
- Strong knowledge of federal regulations including FISMA, NIST SP 800-53, and HIPAA.
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or FedRAMP certified environments).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
