Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity incidents across federal networks in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential security loopholes.
- Develop and implement security policies, protocols, and compliance frameworks aligned with federal standards (e.g., NIST, FISMA).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security measures into the software development lifecycle.
- Manage incident response plans and coordinate with law enforcement agencies during major security breaches.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior analysts and IT staff.
Qualifications
- Active Top Secret security clearance (or the ability to obtain one) is mandatory.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or Security+ required; GSEC preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal or government information security environments.
- Strong understanding of network architecture, encryption standards, and cloud security (AWS/Azure).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting to senior leadership and stakeholders.
